The Glitch Pluriverse is an exploration of collaborative speculative storytelling. By interacting with spectrums of cultural histories, trauma, spiritualities, bonds, and shackles, we invite designers, including ourselves, to enter global south spaces of being, for their invisibility and exclusion are design consequences of colonial modernity. Our co-written story surrounds a commercial designer who tries to work within systems that perpetuate cycles of injustices. Among the discrepancies and violence, we suggest alternative ways of being through interruptive “glitches” that expose, amplify, and stunt current realities and propose transformative openings that may lead us to a preferable alternative.
